St. Louis' local psychedelic blues rock scene is being dominated by The Breakdowwns, playing shows all over the city and its surrounding areas. Raised on the likes of classic rock n roll acts such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, KISS and tons more, the psychedelic rock band thrills crowds everywhere they play.
The band's latest offering "Hold Me Down" showcases the maturity of the band's sound - gracing us with illuminating vocals, dancey beats and the proper motivation you need to kick off Spring. The latest single is filled with memorable guitar riffs, groovy drums and melodies that are sure to turn heads. The band also released a music video for the track - which earns a Grammy in our hearts.
The Breakdowwns also debuted a new cover - "Hey, Johnny Park!" (Foo Fighters) that has become a regular in their live sets. Although the song was written by the Foo Fighters in 1997, The Breakdowwns have taken the track and made it their own, with Colin Ford's emotionally raw vocals, leaving listeners in awe.
The Breakdowwns have wailed their way through local venues + bars such as The Moshmellow, The Fubar, Delmar Hall, Blueberry Hill's Duck Room, and more notable venues. The band continues to hone their craft - their way. No BS. No big machine. Nobody telling them what to do. Hence such lyrics from the band's hit single "Meditate" - "Life is ours but we live it our way."
